Now that the store is up and running, I'd like to tell you about how it all began. The road was not simple, but my persistence and desire to start something new led to our dream business - Loukiya!
Women's role in contemporary society is still debatable, especially for a woman entrepreneur, perceptions varies from person to person. Being one has always thrown me into adverse times. But I didn't let such opinions deter me from pursuing my goals, aspirations, or hard work. I made the decision to write my own tale, and now I am living my dream.
This journey of five years is like a dream come true for me and my husband. We just had an idea, a vision, a dream - and Loukiya was created. When we started, we faced a lot of criticism and negativity from people around us including family and friends. Many mocked and shook their heads in disbelief because we started with nothing but a dream, a dream for which we were ready to take risks and to walk on an unfamiliar path.
Fashion has always sparked my interest. I had a lot of creative ideas that I wanted to share with the world, but I didn't know where to begin. This journey of creating Loukiya would not have been the same if it hadn't been for my business partner, the love of my life, my husband. We had each other when we didn't have anyone else. All of this would have been for nothing if it hadn't been for your love and support over the previous five years.
We thank each and every person associated with Loukiya for making this idea into a brand that people love and cherish. Our wide collection speaks of the Indian glory and we are able to bring it to you with the help of our team. This is just a beginning and there are ifinite years of success to come we feel emotional, proud, humbled and honoured to announce the opening of our own, very first showroom in London.
